Proyer As part of our C. S. M. C. activities, these sophomore missionaries have J a p a n e s e pen-pals. Receiving le t t e r s from them is especially inter- esting when accompanied by a Japanese doll or perhaps even a pair of Japanese shoes. Read- ing their letters and looking at their various gifts are: Eliza- beth Scharnmel, Shirley Mat- tison, Anne Wera, Sandra Munson, Barbara Gappa and Margaret Langenberg. Wo rlc Our Constitution was the subject of much study and discussion among the sopho- more girls who participated in the annual oratorical contest. The smiling faces of Mary Pel- lowski, Mary Alb el, Mary Stewart, Rose Ann Maze, Ann Weir, Mary Lettner seem to indicate that their findings were very satisfactory. Mary Stewart, our winner, placed second in the city con- test and in the district. Play Please save some for me is a familiar cry at the end of the line of girls waiting their turn at the drinking fountain. This line has dwindled down to four girls-Barbara Kulas, Joan Herrick, Joan Sikorski, and Lois Repinski. Just about this time Cecilia Jaszewski quite likely has a very tired arm.
