, Work The debate team has been ex- ercising their vocal chords in discus- sing the subject for debate this year-- Resolved: That all American citizens should be subject to conscription for essential service in time of war. The reference work, the typing of speeches, the intraeschool debates, and the de- bates with other schools have been a wonderful experience. Looking over some of their material we find Martha Winkels, Doris Koscianski, Joann Von- drasek, and Mary Glenzinski. Ploy ond Componionship One event always looked forward to by most Cathedral students is the Cotter Homecoming in which we girls paly a most important part. VVork The body, too must receive care, To prepare for this work ol caring lor the body the girls take a Home Nursing Course, in which they learn all the essentials tor the home care of the sick, This will be a great help in caring for a family later on in lite. l-lere we find Janet Larson getting some first hand experience on her very willing patient, Joan Kulas. Prayer . . . there was her ardent longf ing to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. . . This ardent longing is al- so found in the girls at Cathe- dral. Daily communicants are not scarce. We shall always remember particularly the l-irst Firday ot each month when we prayed together and then received Our Blessed Lord into our hearts. Saint Maria Goretti provides for us a beau- tiful example of the love we should have tor Holy Come munion, for never was Jesus more welcome in a human heart than in hers.
