BELL Chancellor Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles As pastor of the Cathedral, St. Vibiana's, Bishop Bell, Chancellor, has long been acquainted with Cathedral High School which receives many students each year from St. Vibiana's Grammar school. Since his consecration in 1956, Bishop Bell has shown his interest by offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the conclusion of a student retreat, also in honor of Brother Bertram's Jubilee and has presided at the celebration of St. John Baptist de La Sa11e's feast. BISHOP TIMOTHY MANNING Vicar General Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles Bishop Timothy Manning, Vicar General, was consecrated Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles in 1946. He has ever been most interested in the welfare of the schools and to no small degree in Cathedral High School. Frequently he has presided at Cathedral's graduations and taken personal efforts to ensure that the great objectives of Catholic edu- cation be achieved.
