He is a member of Hi-Y. W' Varsity cheerleader, Toni Rob- erts, filled the capacity of Junior Class vice-president. Toni was busy at Sgt. of Arms of Tri-Hi-Y and a member of Girls' League. I A f f K, ..,., 'wx I v 'T-V- v ff f A lx 72 Jr Prom Caps Year s Events for Class of 61 The Junior Class is a very ambitious class, states Mrs. Pauline Baldwin, the Junior Class Advisor. In their freshman year at Catalina, they sponsored a mid-year dance called The Bongo Bouncef' At the dance Klaire Kaufman was crowned Bongo Babe. Her attendants were Gail Price, Jill Dykeman, Caryl Seymore, and Betty Bray. Keith Wojnowski was crowned Bongo Beau. His attendants were Mike Sorey, Bill Brake, Terry Clark, and Phil Stover. There was a skating party held at skateland which was a huge success. A dance, Moods In Blue was held on January 10 during their sophomore year. They succeeded in making more money than any other class with the sponsoring of the well known movie, '4Giant', with James Dean. This was held February 10. In their junior year, the class held a dance after the second Catalina football game which was played against Mesa. But their most important project was the Junior-Senior Prom held in April. Jill Dykeman, Junior Class sec- retary, devoted part of her time as chairman of the Friendship committee in Girls' League. She was also a member of Tri-Hi-Y and a songleader.
