Mr. Roberts, the senior class movie, provided an entertain- ing evening for all besides proving to be a big success for the senior class. The highlight of the month for seniors came with the prom on November 21. June Mad, an hilarious comedy, was presented by the drama department on November 24 and 25. Bringing this month to a per- fect close was the Thanksgiving vacation beginning on November 26. Enthusiastic Trojans cheer the football team on to victory. The band performs one of its formations for the benefit of a football audience. D Nu 2 5' we Pizza was among the dishes served in the cafeteria. Tired dancers rest in front of the Christmas tree at the Torch Ball. The 0rch'Staff members enjoy themselves at the assembly which w as given to boost Torch sales. Diane and Jim pose for their audience. .2 The Red Cross brings Christmas cheer to a children s home Torch Ball Climaxes CHS Christmas Season Turquoise, the birthstone of December, and the graceful Hower for the Christmas month, the narcissus, gave no hint of the widely varied activities that occured in December at CHS. The thrills of the primaries and finals of the Torch Queen contest lasted throughout the month. The culmination of all the excitment was the Torch Ball which was held on December 18. Basket- ball games with Salpointe, Pueblo, Carl Hayden, Phoenix Union, and Tucson High School spotlighted the sports of the month. This short school month was effectively climaxed by the annual Christ- mas programs that were held on Decem- ber 16 through 18, in which the perform- ing arts participated. The long-awaited Christmas vacation began on Decem- ber 19.
