Linda par- ticipated in the Cystic Fibrosis Drive and Job's Daughters No. 2, Bethel. Among her school activities are the Ski Club, Junior Historians, Girls' League, Jr. Advisory Board, National Honor Society, and Honor Service Council. Upon graduation from CHS, she plans to become a doctor. For senior MARK STANBERRY, a trip down the Colorado River in a small boat holds exciting memories. In calmer moments, Mark is a mem- ber of the Youth Session, Board of Deacons at Trinity Presbyterian Church and plays on the Trinity Basketball Team. His school activities included National Honor Society and Trumpeteer Staff. Science is one of Mark's favorite subjects. Cindy's friendly smile was seen at all CHS basketball and foot- ball games. In addition to songleading this active senior was a member of the Student Council, Senior Advisory Board, Yearbook staff, Tri-Hi-Y, sec- retary of Quill and Scroll, and Nation- al Honor Society. Winner of a General Resident Scholarship to the University of Ari- zona, ELIZABETH WHEELER, picks A Cappella, Beginning Drama, and Math as her favorite classes. She has traveled throughout Colorado and Arizona. She was secretary of her Junior Class and the Vice President of the Latin Club. September Marks Start Of New School Year Vacation-happy students again started school the day after Labor Day. The school year got off to a good start with Frosh Assembly and the Atomic Energy Assembly on the following day. The iirst school mixer held on September 11 proved to be a very successful dance Hlled with fun. Cata1ina's varsity football team made its debut this month against Salpointe. Girls' League was introduced to the new freshman girls through a get- acquainted coke party on September 17. The Frosh primary election ended the month on an exciting note. 241 Even upperclassmen enjoyed the freshman coke party given by Girls' League. Fight echoes at a pep assembly as the cheerleaders lead the stu- dent body in school cheers. Coach Pearson introduces the football team. 1 1
