Skills and Fittness Stressed by P. E. Dept. The development of skills and the im- provement of physical fitness are the main objectives of the Physical Education De- partment. During the freshman and soph- omore years, sports emphasizing basic skills are given along with team and in- dividual sports. During junior and senior years advanced classes covering various sports are given. The major sports offered by the Boys P. E. Depart- ment are football, basketball, baseball, Wrestling, track, and gymnastics. According to a school board ruling, Tucson District Number One, all students are required to take five semesters of P.
