A The gymnasium was filled to overflowing at the game. 'NY sNs Trojans Shared The many extracurricular activities comprised a vital part in the school life of the Catalina High School students. They pleasantly broke the routine of the aver- age school days for a majority of the students by providing an interesting and exciting change from normal studies and school work. K School spirit was brought to a climax by all of the inter-school games and ath- letic events. A good percentage of the stu- dents attended the games and rooted the teams to victory. Rodeo Week came in February to the delight of the girls. They were then al- lowed to wear jeans and other western attire to school. A school holiday, ar- ranged so that CHS students could at- tend the rodeo parade, was a welcome event. The madness of Dear Season, when all of the usual customs were reversed, hit Catalina during the middle of March. Girls were seen throughout the halls struggling under a load of boys' books and opening doors for boys. The fashion show, in which boys modeled girls' cos- tumes, brought its usual fun and hilarity to the student body. The various dances which were held during the year provided invaluable ex- perience in getting along with other stu- dents. Most of the students belonged to some club and participated in its activities. The majority of the students were very sorry when the school year ended and these activities ceased for the summer. A group of junior boys prepared the way for for Bill Brake as he puts up decorations for the Catalina's band in the Rodeo parade Lulubelle Dance JVM W! Q f 3 9 V
