Among their projects were the Peanuts for Polio,', a Hal- loween Hop, Model Legislature, and a dress right campaign, where the boys wore suits and ties to school. They met every Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Lighthouse Y. Mr. William Kemmeries acted as the adviser of the Boboquivari Hi-Y. Troy-Boys Promote Spirit The Junior Hi-Y Club is officially known as the Troy-Boys. This year, they helped to promote school spirit by the sale of paper bags that were popped at the kickoff. As a service club, the Troy-Boys participated in various drives. The meetings were held at the Lighthouse-Y for the purpose of promoting Christian service and fel- lowship. Mistletoe Boosts Funds Selling Mistletoe during the Christmas HolidayLwas one of the projects of the sophomore Hi-Y, the A Fortiori Club. The club also helped promote school spirit and participated in the annual Hi-Y, Tri-Hi-Y, Model Legislature. The club is open to any sopho- more boy at Catalina who agrees to uphold the purpose of the club. The A Fortiori Club met every Monday at the Lighthouse Y. Projects Vary for Sr. Club The senior chapter of Tri-Hi-Y is the Fidus Taeda Club. As a serv- ice organization, the club sponsored an orphan overseas, went Trick-or- Treating for UNICEF and sold tick- ets for YMCA Christmas Trees. Money raising projects were bake sales, car washes and the collection of hangers to sell to dry cleaners. The club also sent representatives to Model Legislature where they presented the chapter's bill. treasurer, Betty Jean Pratt. Alter Ego Gives to AFS Under the direction of Mrs. Hal Landon, the Alter Ego Tri-Hi-Y carried out its purpose which is to create and maintain throughout the home, school, and community high standards of Christian living. Mem- bers worked downtown with the American Cancer society in making up pamphlets. Coat hangers were collected and sold to dry cleaners in order to raise money which 'was given to the American Field Service Fund. A dance was held on Febru- ary 5. Any sophomore or freshman girl, within a limit of 35, was eligi- ble for membership. In order to raise money, they had a cupcake sale, and as a service project, they collected clothes and toys for the Papago Hospital at the Indian Res- ervation. They presented a bill at Model Legislature.

Any student of Catalina, interested in nursing is welcome to join the Future Nurses and Medical Teamates. The purpose of the club is to interest students in the aspects of nursing, both personal and vocational. Roll of a Teacher Studied by FTA Members To become a member of the Future Teachers of America, a student must be interested in becoming a teacher and must have a grade average of 2.5 or better. The purpose of the club is to learn about the teaching profession, its opprotunities, responsibilities, and its important role in our Democracy. Club members assisted in managing information booths at the AEA convention held in November, and they gave a party for underprivileged and handicapped children.
