Girls League is a democratic organi- zation for all girls in Catalina High. Every girl at CHS is a member, but to be a voting member, she must attend three regular meetings. The meetings were held on the third Thursday of each month. The purpose of the club is to give girls an opportunity to participate in co- operative activities. Various projects planned by Girls League were a coke party for the fresh- man girls, a food and clothing drive, and a fashion show. Parents were given the chance to come to GL meetings when the Dad-Daughter Box Supper and Mother- Daughter Dessert were held. At the end of each year, a scholarship is presented to a graduating senior who has been ac- tive in Girls League. Working with Emily Kittle, president, were the other ollicers and the Girls League council, composed of all the com- mittee heads. Sally Contzen iilled the capacity of vice-president, while Nancy Helm held the job of secretary. The GL council is formed by the heads of the dilferent committees.
