Only three lettermen, Jim Allen, Richard Johnsrud, and Steve Tofel, returned from the '59 squad, which compiled a 17-2 won-lost record. After seeing his twenty-one proteges score tive conse- cutive victories at the beginning of the season, Coach Keith Meenan predicted that the 1960 team would do at least as well as the players from the preceding year. As in the previous season, the Trojans' strongest op- ponent was star-studded Tucson High. The doubles team of Nick Fenech and Jack Neasham won the state doubles championship in 1959. This marked the first time in Catalina history that a Trojan net duo had won such an honor.
