Row I: Ed Mayo, Larry Aldrich, Tyler Barrett, Raymond St. Clair, Tom Hawk, Dick LeMay, Robert Kayquoptewa, Bob Sher, Chuck Hiatt, Cary Birenbaum. Row 2: Coach Bill Kiser, Louis Crofts, Peter Riggi, Jerry Hawkes, Bruce Grossetta, David Roy, Bob Hilker, Bill Hodder, Dan Lawrence. Row 3: Mike Hennigan, Arran Lathan, Tom Bartholomew, John Helin, Don Carbieuer, John Moffatt, John Vrchota, Doug Anderson. The junior varsity track and field squad, coached by Bill Kiser, had ten meets on its schedule this year. The team consisted of sophomores and juniors who needed added experience and training in order to qualify them as members of the varsity squad. The boys participated in all the various track and iield events C that the more experienced team participates inj in competition with their counterparts from the other high schools through-out the Tucson metropolitan area. Prospects at the beginning of the season appeared good as a fine crop of sophomores and juniors was on hand. The purpose of the fresh- l t A man track team is to prepare incoming prepsters for the jayvee squad and to give them the background, training, Coach Galen Kintner and experience that are necessary for eventual varsity competition.
