Quentin Bryson was named lineman of the week for this game. BADGERS DOWN CATAUNA, 20-O The Tucson Badgers emerged the victors in the first round of a new crosstown football rivalry. The Troians tried the air and ground looking for a Badger weak spot but a rugged defense held Catalina scoreless. All State Art Acosta pounded out two TDs and kicked two PATs to lead THS to a victory. Troian Dave Berg flipped 42 yards' worth of passes to Mike Nagle for a third of Catalina's total offense. Jim Mansfield crossed the THS goal line late in the second half only to have the score called back on a penalty. SOUTH MOUNTAIN RUNS WILD lt was a rugged 60 minutes for the Troians as the Rebels of Phoenix captured 7 touchdowns to over-power Catalina 49 to O. After four minutes, an ankle injury put Junior fullback Floyd Watson out of the nights action.
