Nellie Forbush CRobln Baxterj goes through I'm in Love With a Wonderful Guy during a night rehearsal. Blll Robertson, Randy Loyd, and Jim Loder go through a scene in rehearsal. The Broadway musical South Pacific brought a bit of the south seas to Castro Valley. This musical, by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein Il, was presented by C.V.'s Fine Arts Area and was directed by Mrs. Phyllis Whayne and Mrs. Donna Russell. Mr. Elliot Charnow directed the orchestra. The play was about sailors stationed on an island in the South Pacific and the relationship be- tween a navy nurse and a French planter. Robin Baxter, who portrayed Nellie Forbush, and Ken Bass, who played Emile DeBeque, were in the leading roles, and were supported by Randy Loyd as Lt.
