V. insti- tutions, worked hard for the betterment of the student body. Presidents Cindy Black, Bill Seemeyer and Dwain Mefford led Boys League and Girls League through many activities this year. In September Girls League staged the Big Sister Tea, at which senior girls acquainted new freshmen with life at Castro Valley, and the Back- wards Formal in December at which Castro Valley girls selected Tom Beck this year's King of the Belles. Working hand-in-hand with Girls League was its male counterpart, Boys League. This year these two organizations jointly sponsored the annual Christmas Basket Drive and the Junior-Senior Donkey Basketball game. In April, Boys and Girls Leagues sponsored the Castro Valley Folk Festival, a concert by local folk music artists. In the latter part of the school year Girls League staged its annual fashion show at which C. V. girls modeled their own creations. As their last activity of the year Boys and Girls Leagues presented the Senior Tea, one of the seniors' last social affairs at Castro Valley High School. By staging these many activities Boys and Girls Leagues did much to make this school year more enjoyable for everyone at Castro Valley. 5 through the basket drive sponsored by Boys and Girls League.
