'23 Serving as the chief executive branch for the student body and heading its functions, the 1964 Fall Executive Council accomplished a great deal. The members, all of whom were elected byapopular vote, each filled a specif- ic qualificatlon for his position on the Council. The mem- bers were Tom Jorde, President, Rich Wendland, Vice- Presidentg Sandy Logan, Secretaryg Ruby Vardy, Treas- urerg Dwain Mefford, Boys League President, Cindy Black, Girls League Presidentg Joanne Hodge, C lub Council Chairman, Isabel Marc, Foreign Exchange Stu- dentg Jane Sprague, Achaean Editor, Brooks McBurney, Student Assembly Chairman, Steve Peek, Senior Presi- dentg Pam Smith, Junior Presidentg Dick Fitzmaurice, Sophomore Presidentg Jim Bissell, Freshman Presidentg Paula Sengstack, Head Song Girl, andCarole Sisler, Head Yell Leader. In a long list of accomplishments, Fall Executive Council started with several additions and im- provements in the judging of the 'Sound Off Rally, hoping to bring greater school unity. 170 F all Executive Council Acts on Student TOM JORDE Castro Valley's Fall Student Body President, Tom Jorde, left behind a record of notable achievements in stu- dent government. During his term as Chief Executive, Tom did much to strengthen Student Assembly as a leg- islative branch of student politics. In his two years at Castro Valley, after transferring from Arroyo, Tom served as Junior Class President, Student Body President, and as a member of Student Assembly. Tom eagerly looks forward to a healthful, tasty lunch prepared by the cafeteria. Tom J orde directs the school to bigger In order to find a nice, quiet place to study, Tom goes to the library. and better things i.n one of his captivat- ing speeches.

As a Freshman, Tom was the class presidentg as a Sophomore, vice-presidentg and as a Junior, he was the first Student Assembly Chairman. He has been a member of C.S. F, for the past four years and an active member of Executive Council for three of his years at C.V. After a hard day of studying, Tom leaves the library.
