While eating lunch, Juniors make last minute preparations for the The Junior Cheerleaders were qfront to backj Linda Sound-Off Rally. Cox, Dade Caskey, Ruby Vavdy, and Cindy Anderson, The class of '65 showed spirit and determination throughout the rally. With the theme of Junior Jubilee, C.V.'s class of '65 put forth a first rate effort in the 1963 Sound- Off-Rally. Led by their mascot, the spirit jugg portray- ed by Kathy Pewfy and a group of farm animals, a cow, pig and horse, the Juniors marched up to their assigned places singing to the tune of Old MacDonald. Getting together every free moment, they workedlong hard hours on a life sized barn, fence and wagon which served as main props. The song girls and cheer- leaders who were dressed as square dancers and country farm girls, led in the spellout of Jubilee and the class song, to the tune of She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain. The skit, that of a l-loe Down, consisted of square dancing and the game of Pin the Loss on the Rebels in support of the Castro Valley- San Lorenzo game held that night. Although they were disappointed in losing, the Juniors could look back upon many memorable and pleasure-filled hours spent in preparation and eager anticipation.
