The Freshman Cheerleaders were Linda Vardy qfrontj, Kathi Jacobson, Cheryl Gross, and Linda Goodson, fbackp. Far from looking inexperienced and bewildered as is usually expected of Freshmen, the Spirited class of '67 surprised everyone with their performance. From the moment they began their march up to the field--carrying their ABC blocks and led by their mascot, a baby dressed in blue, portrayed by Jean MCAdClm, all knew that the 1963 Sound-Off-Rally would mark a new first. Eager with enthusiasm and school spirit, the Freshman Wonderbabes, were to take a third--the first time for any freshman class in the history of the rally. Their skit, which consisted of a bedtime story told to a group of small children, the Wonderbabes, portrayed the typical Cowboyglndian episode with Castro Valley as the cowboys defeating the Indians--The San Lorenzo Rebels. Their song to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star also gave support to the Spartan Football team while the cheer spelled Freshmen in specific support for their own class. Although it was their first rally, they did a great job in organizing and developing their theme into an impressive show of school spirit--the purpose for which the rally is held. Freshman Wonderbabes The Freshman Song Girls were Kathy Foxworthy,Lynn Anderson, qfronty, Beth Briggs and Linda Smith qbackp, Kathi Reeves, Dick Fitzmaurice, Lynn Anderson, Kathy Foxworthy, and Linda Smith lead the Freshman Wonder- babes onto the field to perform in the 1964 Sound-Off-Rally.
