With such tunes as Sincere, One Boy, One Last Kiss, and Ed Sullivan ringing through their minds, C. V. Students, families, and friends left the school's auditorium on four different nights, thoroughly convinced that they had spent one of their most memorable evenings of the year. ACapella and Mixed Choir, under the direction ofMrs. Wliayne and the C. V. Orchestra, directed by Mr. Graves, once again put on a successful annual fall musical. Mrs.RusselZ was the able dramatic coach. Full capac- ity crowds came each night to see the well-known Broadway musical comedy about a teen-age idol, his manager and many fans. The leading character, Conrade Birdie, was played by KenBass. His supporting stars were Darleneliobertson as Rosie,Jenny Herring playing Kim MaCaffee, Randy Loyd and Sue Kelly as Albert and Mae Peterson, and Ayers Baxter and CheryZFletcher as Mr. and Mrs. MaCaffee. Ken Bass, as Conrade Birdie, causes a commotion when he interrupts the mayor, Todd Taylor, by singing Sincere CherylFletcher, as Mrs. MaCaffee, and her daughter Kim, Jenny Herring, try to hurry MY- MaC21ffSG,Ayers Baxter, through his breakfast. Mr. MaCaffee persuades his daughter, Kim, not to leave home. Susan Kelly, as Mae Peterson, tries to get her son Albert portrayed by Randy Loyd, interestedin the secretary, Barbara Fansz.
