Starting right off in the fall semester, their first job was to present the Big Sister Tea. As a traditional event, provided for the benefit of incoming freshman girls, seniors act as big sisters for an afternoon. With seniors assigned to their own freshmen, they answer any questions that the girls might have, personal or otherwise, and help them to feel more confident about entering high school, while also trying to interest them in the various activites including Girls League. Their next project and big success was the presentation of the Backward Formal. In December they were in charge of another annual event, the Christmas Basket Drive. lnto the new year and more projects, the council also presented the Spring Fashion Show in May and the Senior Tea at the close of the school year. Made up a representative from each club in the school, the purpose of the Council is to help unite the members of the various school organizations and help them in carrying out their activities and business affairs, Under chairmen Steve Peek, in the fall, and Ruby Vdwfdy, in the spring, they did exactly that. As spokesmen for the clubs, to the Executive Council, they alleviate some of the work involved in a smoothly run organization. The addition of this council to the school has done away with a lot of confusion with mixed up schedules and makes possible much better relations among the different clubs.
