Serving as the chief executive branch for the student body and heading its functions, the 1963 Fall Executive Council accomplished a great deal. Its long list of accomplishments started with construction of the Senior Lawn. As major step toward C.V.'s goal of more and better senior privileges , they worked throughout the summer, under chairman Mike Vanderbyl. Improvement ofassemblies and revisions and additions to the Sound-Off Rally are also credited to '63' Executive Council. Heading their list, though, were the constitutional revisions and recommendation of a Student Assembly and Student Board of Inquiry. After long hours of hard work in drawing up the provisions, they presented their proposals for Student Body approval. Although the Board of Inquiry did not pass the Student Assembly was established providing a way for better student government. I FRONT ROW-' F. Morjig, L. Gallo, B. Belden, H.l-laughy, K. Williams B. Goals SPRING EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE Since the establishment ofthe Student Assembly, which serves as the legislative government, the spring Executive Council could spend more of its time on executive duties. Having only to approve or reject bills brought before them, they could con- centrate more on their main job--that of leadership in student government. With the help of the Nominations and Elections Com- mittee, the counsel members' jobs were made even lighter as the committee took on the responsibility of providing materials and organizing student body elections. Meeting each week, they still had enough to keep them busy as they made plans for the many spring activities including the Grecian Festi- val, spring's equivalent to the Sound-Off Rally, and the organization of assemblies. Composed of representatives from all segments of the school the membership in- cluded Ron Robertson, Student Body Presi- dentg Larry DOWNS, Vice Presidentg Jill Jackson, Secretary: Sandra McKean, Treasurerg Bev Lopez, Girls' League President, Del Pierce, Boys' League Presidentg Mike Vanderbyl, Nominations and Elections Chairmang Ruby Vardy, Club Council Chairmang Bonnie Belden, Newe- paper Editorg Cathy Forsher, Yearbook Editorg Tom Beck, Student AssemblyChair- man, Cynthia Manas, Foreign Exchange Student, Connie Davis and Sheryl Wanklzn, Head Song Girl and Cheerleaderg Joanne Hodge, Pep Club Presidentg Don Larmour, Senior President, Tom Jorde, Junior Presidentg Russ Swart, Sophomore Presi- dentg Mike Nikkwfi, Freshman President.
