ROBERT BUSH, Principal Probably the greatest change in the Castro Valley I-licgh School administrative picture this year was the a dition of three assistant principals in place of two deans and the position of vice principal. Of the three principals two of them Mrs. Vzrginia Anderson and Mr. Robert Lincoln, are in charge of boys' and girls' welfare1 while the third, Mr. Mark Facer, acts as the counseling and guidance director. In addition each assistant principal handles specific as- pects of the curriculum and suggests recommendations to Dr. Robert Bush. Their main concern was the W.A.S.C. evaluation for accreditation. The administra- tion was pleased with the co-operation they received from the entire staff and students andhas a result Castro Valley High Schoolfrece ived Commendation from the visiting committee. The four top adminis- trators plus the Director of Student Activities, Mr. Anderson, andthe Teachers Association President, M1' - Hdyenga, form the Administrative Council, which is the policy making organization for the school. Another important group with which they serve is the Curriculum Council composed of all area chairmen. As the main executive, Dr. Robert Bush, performsa variety of duties for the school. Much of his time is spent observing classes and evaluating teachers. In addition, he is called upon to represent the high school in many civic affairs. Often his school day continues into the night as he attends board and PTA meetings, Back-to-School-Night and a host of. other activities. Working closely together the administrators con- tribute to a smoothly run high school.
