Humpty Dumpty and ground ,hog characters were por- trayed by Annette Scales, John Palmer and Paul Lambdin. Through the Looking Glass andinto the fantasy world of Alice ln Wonderland went the class of '65 on the night of their Junior Prom. Creeted at the entrance by Alice's coachmen, they passed her garden and were led bya rabbit, Ernie DeCoito, down a treehole and into the long dark tunnel of upside down signs and con- fusion. From there the Cheshire Cat, Barry Kilbourne, showed them to the reception line where they greeted members of executive council, faculty, and the president of the senior class, Don Larmoar. With a whole evening of soft music, dancing, and refreshments, which were served to them by the waiters representing Tweedle Dee and T weedle Dum and waitresses representing Alice, the Juniors couldn't have Portraying other storybook characters in the fairytale of Alice ln Wonderland, were Liz Taylor, Jani Bibean and Fran Morjig. been treated with more royalty. Passing throughout Alice's Wonderland, they met such familiar fantasy characters as the Queen and King of Hearts, portrayed by Madeline Rotanzi and Rich Peterson, Humptv Dumpty, Annette Scales, the Mad Hatter,,QNancy Alexander, the Walrus, groundhog, and caterpillar by Roy Pardini, John Palmer, and Craig Terrell,- and the cardmen, butterflies, and bees. Under chairmen Chris Freeman and Heidi Hanghy, the Seniors had done a wonderful job. The atmosphere was beautiful and the theme vividly portrayed. As the evening closed and couples departed, each was sure to hold many wonder- ful and fond memories for years to come. The Highlighters, a folk song singing group provided entertainment for the Junior Prom. 177

176 The Spartan Dance Band provided music for the Junior Prom. Donna Hanson and Art Sohns were among those persons who went to one of many cock- tail parties. Edna McNeely, Dennis Botelho, Diane Salemi, and Mike Johnson As the music started,'Vicki Coe, and her date wait for refreshments to be served. began to dance. Virginia Pritchett and Carol Boscacci found time on Saturday after- Denise Halstead and her date, Dave Clark noons to help make decorations for the Junior Prom. seem to be enjoying themselves.

178 Edna McNeely and Dennis Botelho introduce themselves to Mr. Hughes as they enter the Prom. Gretta Speekman, Dennis Craddock, Carol Anderson, Don Holtorf, Sheri Beyer, Larry Downs, Sue Ackerman, Jay Larson, Judy Moore, and John Martin portrayed Tweed1e Dee and Tweedle Dum characters for the Junior Prom as they served as waiters and waitresses. Miss Mendels and Mr. Hendsch were enthusiastic aboutthe Jun- ior Prom. Panimy Caires, Earl Dexter, Lynn Clauson and Tim Hutchinson enjoyed the entertainment at the Junior Prom. ,The World of AIicei for Juniors Mr. and Mrs. Paulsen and Mr. Hendsch and Miss lgendels enjoyed all the fun and splendor of the Junior TOIH.
