Clad in purple nightshirts and nightcaps, the class of 1964 marched up to their fourth and final Sound-Off Rally, with more enthusiasm than ever before. Eagerly led by mascot Peter Pan, portrayed by Ron Robertson, and the Spar- tigator, Steve Walde, the seniors were to return as victors in the 1963 Sound-Off Rally. Their theme, that of Seniors in Neverland followed the story of Peter Pan and his adventures with Wendy, her brothers, the Lost boys and Captain Hook and his cutthroat shipmates, Representing Spartan spirit in the senior skit, Tinkerbell was revived back to life, after nearing death, when Wendy, portrayed by Betty Johnsong, and the lost boys pleaded for the four classes to unite together in cheers of school spirit. Led by song girls dressed in Indian costumes and cheer- leaders in purple striped nightgowns, they chanted We are off to Neverland, Neverland, Neverland, We are off to Neverland, We're going to rip the Rebels! Yea! . Playing the part of the wicked Captain Hook representing San Lorenzo, was Dale Briggs, and the Four Lost Boys, rlefresenting the four classes, were qSeniorp zke Vanderbyl, qjuniorj John Palmer, qSophomoreyArnoZd Snider, fFreshmanj Steve De Coito. All this combined gave the seniors a victorious FIRST PLACE. The Senior prop served to set the scene for Seniors in Neverland. 105
