SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Tommy Blackstone, treasurer; Bryce Castle, president; Joella Kiser, vice-president; Judy Long, reporter; Donna Morris, secretary. CLASS HISTORY Many events have crowned this our senior year at Castlewood High. First, the thrill we had to be the first football players to use the new football field. Second, we, the seniors of 1961, the first class to graduate under the five-year plan, leave our Alma Mater a year older that the past graduates of C.H.S. and, we hope, a year wiser. But regardless of our longer stay, we realize only too soon that our days were but few at C.H.S. However, not until we receive our diplomas will we be- come aware that our footsteps will be only echoes in the halls at Castlewood High. Our constant hope will be that our school has been enriched by our having been here because we feel we are finer students and that we are better prepared for the challeng- ing years ahead through the untiring efforts of our capable teachers and from the know- ledge instilled in us by them and from their high ideals set forth as shining light along our many challenges in life. We express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Carter, Mr. Graybeal, our sponsors, and to all the teachers who have had a part in shaping our lives. 18
