SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Roger Glovier, treasurer; Clara Sue Blair, reporter; James Duncan, secretary; John Tompa 111, president; Bobby Vicars, vice-president. THE SENIOR CLASS The year of 1959-60 will be an unforgettable year for most of us. They said it couldn ' t be done! We proved to ourselves and to others that strength can lie in small num- bers. The smallness of our class has drawn us into closer bonds of FRIENDSHIP and FELLOWSHIP and a keener sense of responsibility to our class and to our school. Senior s, let us pause before tak- ing departure from the scenes so dear to us and look back over the happen- ings of four (or more for some of us) momentous years. It seems as if it were only yesterday that we were green freshmen. As we ’reminisce over the past three year s, we call our days in high school as a glorious com- bination of having FUN and learning. Our classes, teachers, clubs, sports, and friends are all segments of our happy days at Castlewood High. These among many others have aided us in preparing for our future and in- stilling in our hearts memories that we will always hold dear. Life has been about the same with us as with the seniors who have gone before us. We are now standing at the threshold of a new world. We have stood together here as high school students; may we still stand together through all time and show the world that C.H.S. can send forth boys and girls who are surpassed by none. Then came that all important junior year. One notable event was the Junior-Senior Party. The theme we used was A Song in My Heart . 18
