Theme Just as a prominent citizen receives the key to a city which he visits, so too the possessor of the l96O Castlemont yearbook, Ye Falcon, receives a Key to Castlemontf' The Falcon presents a tangible, crystalized record of the life and spirit of our school. l-lowever, this photographic and written description of the past year's academic and extra-curricular activities con- tributes only partially to the key symbol's meaning. The significance of the key cannot be contained within the printed and bound issue of a yearbook, it resides as well in the person of the Castlemont graduate. Upon graduation from Castlemont a student foregoes further participa- tion in high school pursuits, but he does not relinquish his personal key to Castlemont, he retains this key in the form of the personality and character he has developed and in the knowledge and skills he has mastered during his stay here, and uses it to open his way to effective participation in adult society. To get an inkling of the meaning of the phrase Key to Castlemont, read this yearbook.
