ALL CASTLE PARK H IL . . .and accolades are warranted. The marching band, directed by Michael Luzak and led by Drum Maior Bruce Rosenberg, garnered THIRDS in the Autumn Band Review, the Parade ot Champions, and Arcadia, a SECOND at Camarillo, where Bruce Rosenberg added a FIRST as military drum major, and FIRST at the All Western Band Review- the first time in Trojan history outpointing the always- excellent Hilltop Lancers. ln addition, the percussion section added SWEEPSTAKES at Southwestern's Percussion Clinic with Jack Wride earning a SECOND in individual competition. MUSICNIE MAKE TROY JUMP PEP BAND: Sending the'strains of CONQUEST echoing across the high- arching Troian gymnasium, the Pep Band, under the dynamic leadership of Vince Dahlen, played a large part in generating Troy's renowned FIGHTING SPIRIT, STAGE BAND: From the soft strains of dinner music to the throbbing rhythms ot pop melodies and the syncopation of the oldies, the Stage Band contributed much to Troy's cultural and social en- vironment. fi uw.,-4' Vince Dahlen sets tempo as the Pep Band musicians shake the rafters with Troy's spirit moving FIGHT SONG.
