FCDREIGN LANGU GE Whether we like it or not, we face an inescapable fact that this is one world, that man's inventive genius has made our world almost a neighborhood, and that our peace and security is directly bound up with events occuring anywhere on the globe. To communicate effectively with our neighbors it is essential that we speak, read, and write in their languages. Trojans, through the study of Latin, German, French, and Spanish, not only develop language fluency but, through correlated emphasis on the related civilizations, develop insights into the cultural foundations ot America and better understanding of other peoples and their cultural environments.
