STANDING: Coach Korzep, Ron Iapala, Coach Hoffman, Ernie Valino, Coach Warren. In addition to the indicated school honors, Ernie Valino was named Metro Lineman of the Year and earned a position on the All-Metro defensive line. Teammates Gene Harvey COffensive Endl, Thom Buschhorn COf- fensive Tacklel, Ron Iapalo CDefensive Backl, and John Hardy fDefensive Linel, were also named to the AII- Metro Squad. Jimmy Sanchez and Ira Porter received honorable mention for their Metro efforts.

L TROY'S GRID FUTURE SEEN IN FIGHTING JUNIOR VARSITY Sparked by the outstanding quarter- backing of Stan Daniels, who averaged 2 TD's per game while calling signals, and Ray Sublcn and the excellent work of guard Clyde Balanay, tackles Tom Jacobs and Johnny Bryant, tailback Andy Sanchez, ends Ray Ruiz and Elias Del- gadillo, and backs Matt Johnson and Steve West plus a great team effort by every squad member, Troy's JV's wrote Metro history. The dauntless neophyte gridders averaged 35 points and gave up only 7 points per game while Fighting their way to an 8-I record and the METRO JV CHAMPIO NSHIP.
