September, When our first opera we did seeg Then back again to school for Sunday tea! As the year progressed, We found ourselves dressed In formals all a-shimmer and a-glimmer. For the Christmas dance we wanted to be thinner- So we dieted very strenuously And small meals ate tremendously. What gay feeling overcame us As we joined in all the Christmas fuss, And joyously carried our stockings down the stairs, To the lovely Christmas dinner, singing all in pairs. Ah, what happy, happy memories are these! V I HOUSE FOUNCII SAGA OF THE RESIDENCE But then came the January freeze The day s were very long and yery rainy And with finals due we had to become bralny Oh the midnight oil bright was blazmg While lnto the night we were intently azin At such things as history Latin math and French From these books we could not ourselves wrench Then homeward bound for our vaca tion How we rushed right to the station, Or to snow-topped mountains far away- 4'The skiers left the very next day.J The first of February We faced, very wary, For it was a brand new term, And for an A we knew we must learn. Concerts and symphonies and pianists, etc., We went to in order our culture to bet- tera. After Easter, time went faster. With spring fever came disaster. It was so difficult to think, We were all in the pink. We heard Kostalanetz, Attended the spring dance, Second Semester Seated left to right I Tharpe K Harms A Glere C Turrlllas and S Ruddy slanllznz, left to right S Ofsten L Bradford J Thomas l Robinson and S Hervllla And al o the House Council Fling To w hlch a boy we could also bring Time imply fiew And before we knew The last night at school was here W e were soon to leave Casti dear lt really was sad Because we d all had Such a wonderful wonderful year Oh the Hallowed Halls of Castl that we loye so well The memories that youive given us, we can't begln to tell. The housemothers we tormented, And then sorrowfully repented, The jokes and fun, The bathing in the sun, The anticipation Of great speculation Of perhaps a free weekend ahead, Or fear of being campused instead. The Friday Fish Fry, And social hour dry Or the exciting uniting Of a Menlo nighting findicting?l Or Tuesday' night grill Where we all had our fill. YVe'll remember it all, And add stories tall Of those fond boarding days at old Casti.
