kenneth w. dobson b.s. in ed., ohio state u. m.a. in ed., kent state u. science general science is pictured above, mr. dobson instructs this class to underclassmen. it ac- quaints the student with the various fields of science and helps him determine his own interest. mr. dobson’s physics students are shown above, demonstrating the mechanical ad- vantage of pulleys. physics, the study of light, sound, magnetism and electri- city gives an extensive background of study for the scientific minded student. the chemistry classes divide their time between the classroom and lab. even though there are explosions and wierd odors emitted, the class receives an interesting experience in chemistry, breakage deposits are one dollar, but they usually run higher when the ex- periments get underway. - 28

american history, taught by mr. crawford and mr. brackett, is re- quired of all junior student’s for graduation. this course deals with the development of america with par- ticular emphasis on recent and cur- rent history and the development of the united states today. a new addition to the american history room this year was contributed by the art department and featured three murals depicting scenes from ameri- can history, done by former students under the direction of mr. hardaway, the pictures added a great deal of aesthetic value to the understanding of the three events included in the pictures. - 30 -
