lee bedillon, b. s., kansas state teachers college industrial arts I J james h. metzger, b. s., arizona state college at tempe in auto mechanics, mr. staats’ students learn what makes a car tick, they study the theory and application of mechanics by actually repairing cars. the study of the theory of radios and practical application by repairing and build- ing radio units are undertaken by the radio students. this course is also taught by mr. staats. mr. metzger’s mechanical drawing stu- dents find his class very helpful in other workshop courses, practical drawings are made by class members. building trades, for boys who have had two years of wood shop, is another two- hour course involving the most advanced type of wood work along with as many projects as mr. bedillon and his students can handle. aeronautics students place a great deal of emphasis on all phases of flying and aviation, although they seldom get up in the air. most of their learning is done in the classroom. mr. bedillon’s and mr. metzger’s shop boys are carefully supervised in the use of power tools and other woodwork instruments.
