evelyn morris b. a. in ed. arizona state college frank vincent m.a. arizona state college typing 1 students learn the fundamentals of typing during the first semester and in the second semester mr. vincent, the typing instructor, gives more personal and advanced work. shorthand 1 students are thoroughly instructed in shorthand symboles and techniques by mrs. morris, who is new here this year, this course is especially designed for girls planning to do office work and also valuable to the student planning to go on to college. the picture to the left is of some students diligently doing advanced work in office prac- tice. the course includes office work in typing and shorthand. it is a definite must course for those planning to make office work a career. mrs. morris also teaches the fundamentals of record keeping and the problems of business to her bookkeeping students. 17 -
