t.o. beach m.s. university of arizona victor edman b.s., m. of ag. university of arizona the ultimate goal that both mr. beach and mr. edman are striving for in the agri- culture department is to establish boys in farming or a related occupation. agriculture 1 is given as a general farm- ing course to help students discover whether or not they are interested in agriculture as a life work, it familiarizes them with the many phases of agriculture. the second year agricultural student learns the actual production methods as well as an introduction to farm shop, students are required to begin a farming program in their second year along with class in- struction. agriculture III begins sectional speci- alization in the fields of animal breeding, special crops, soil and water management, and farm shop, a farming program is also required. the fourth year of agriculture primarily deals with farm management and helps the student get established in farming, work on projects and farm shop is included in the years work. agriculture is a wide and extensive field and gives a boy an insite into the agriculture field after graduation.
