Well, podnuh, this shor has been a year! Yep in more ways than one, this shore has been nine months shoved full of pain and joy, and misery and qladness fer all us freshmen stewdents. Fust off them derned sophomores hed tuh qit us all wet in that dad derned blankety blank fish pond. Thet there water is thuh ooz- iest, nastiest tastin wet stuff ah evah shoved down mah old qoozle, and old George Riley, the consarned cuss et a gold fish. Thouqht l'd die a lauqhin' when he was settin-up in thet water with thet fish's tail stickin out of his craw. Then we had tuh qo out tuh that lil ol hill they call CG. 'nd paint them letters with white wash. 'Nd some of us hed lipstick smeared all over 'nd we was dressed so dern silly. Gosh! Oh gee I shore was embarrassed. Shirley Se- vier qot a seat full uh jumpin cactus tho. That shore made me laugh but there wasn't much else tuh hee-haw about. Then we went on - least ways most all did. Some got asked tuh leave 'nd some jest up and left. But those of us that stuck we kinda like the ol Corral. So long, then, see yuh next September when it's our turn tuh round up the freshmen. The name of it was the Outing Club , started and directed by Mr. Richard Gagnon, local algebra and biology teacher. MF- Gagnon found by inquirirlq, that many students here in high school were interested in out of door activities but just never took the time required at this pass time. An enthusistic gathering was on hand for the first meeting and officers were named. It was decided that the only dues to be paid were to cover the expenses of the field trips. Trips were taken to the Arboretum at Superior, to the Casa Grande Ruins near Coolidge, and other scenic spots. A new organization has been added to the school's list of clubs. lt is the Camera Club. There are fewer members than there was in the old club, but new incentive has been given for photographic work by the Adult Camera Club's contest, and some national contests. Officers are Iohn Tverberg, president: Tretha Crabb, vice president: and Theresa Cruz, sec.- treas.
