Class Song TUNE —MOON RIVER Although we're going far away from you, Our hearts will always sing thy praise. Dear Carver, our alma mater, You've led us, and brought us, thus far on our way Through life's journey to us you will be A light for all the world to see. Dear Carver, we love you . . . But now, We must say good-bye, to dear ole Carver High. We'll miss you, Good-Bye. To our dear teachers and principal, too, You've given us our knowledge due; And our parents who've love us dearly Stood by us and helped us to follow through. These mem'ries gained here will linger in our hearts. We'll never, ever let them part. Dear Carver we love you . . . but now We must say good-bye; to dear ole Carver High We'll miss you, Good-Bye. Beverli Allen Class Poem NOW IS THE YEAR We've waited many and many a day To get our chance to pass this way. We have been fortunate, and we are glad, Dear Carver, for the privileges we've had. The year we began was sixty-one; The next four years came second to none. And now is the year — sixty-five. Most of us have been able to survive. We've met the challenges which confronted us And achieved the goals, for we knew we must. Each day the road stretched long and hard, But we tackled our problems and did our part. The class of sixty-five must soon face the test; The top is always reached by the best. Our time here has been well spent; Listening and learning, the twig is bent . As the time draws near for our walk down the aisle. We'll say adieu to our school for awhile, We've had to sweat, toil, and shed a tear, But, now we can say, this is the year. Soon you will say, Another class has gone, Yet our love for Carver shall always live on. Then we'll go our separate ways without fear, —For now is the year. Aufait Williams Charles Barker
