FBLA The EB.L.A. has monthly meetings. At each meeting they try to have a guest speaker to talk to them about business. This year many of their activities were cut short because of Mrs. Newcom's oper- ation. They sold popcorn, cookies and cleaner to make money for the club. Their highlight of the year was a trip to the Re- creation Center at S.l.U. in Carbondale. They also went to l.V.'s for pizza after- wards. The sponsors for F.B.L.A. are Mr. J , ,L ..,... ,, , , , . F.H.A. OFFICERS: Vice-President Jennifer Spence, Secretary Stephanie Pucke FHA The F.H.A. keeps busy during the year doing several activities. The first meeting consisted of a Freshman initiation. They had to feed each other Chocolate pud- ding-blindfoldedl! They prepared food baskets for a needy family at Christmas. They planned a trip to Paoli Peaks, Indi- ana, but this failed. They are hoping to go next fall. The main highlight of the year was Sweetheart Banquet. lt was held at S.I.U., the band was Spectra, and Genola Murphy was crowned queen. During the spring they collected money for the Spe- cial Olympics, and attended it at McAn- drew Stadium on the campus of S.l.U. They went to Six Flags on June 3.
