SPHINX The Sphinx is the high school newspaper. It pub- lishes the important events of the school year. The staff members hold meetings where the editor as- signs various stories. Ideas are dicussed. Staff mem- bers then submit their stories to the editor who edits them for correct spelling, grammar, and construction. When the paper is finished it is sold to the student body for 250: a copy. The staff then celebrates suc- cess by having a pizza party. The Sphinx accepts material from any student and publishes letters to the editor from the student body. ri.. LIONITE This year the Journalism class worked diligently on the yearbook and on articles for the high school page in the Spokesman. Students learned to meet deadlines through their pages and newspaper articles. Yearbook people also enjoyed themselves by attending the SISPA workshop and having a pizza party. Yearbook Editor was Audrey Hana- gan, Gail Johnson and Maribeth Ruder were the Arts, Homecoming, and Sweetheart Banquet, and the Ending. The people who worked on the classes were Steve Hanagan - Seniors, Scott Fawley - Juniors, Ben Parks - Soph- omores, and Tom Henderson - Fresh- man. Ads were Steve Mausey, Brett Young, and George Calhoun. Amy White and Jennifer Spence did the Clubs, VIPS, and Faculty. Couples were done by Kendra Washburn and Dawn Bray. The Sports were Jeannie Mitchell, Aaron Mundell, Matt Brown, Randy EI- liot, Michelle McGeath, Tammy Reyes, Kendra Washburn, Dawn Bray, Steph- anie Puckett, Ben Parks, Kent Keen, Scott Fawley, David Treece, Larinda Boner. w I N- RONT ROW: Mrs. Harris, A.
