1927 ' BLACK DIAMOND ' 1927 B. B. Boys Entertained The towns-people showed their appreciation of the hard work and the resulting good basket-ball playing which the boys did this year by enter- taining them royally On the night of April 2 the Presbyterian Brotherhood gave the boys a banquet at the hlgh school gymnasium The ladles came in for their share of loyalty for they prepared and served it The Big Brothers of the Christian Church were hosts to the boys on April 11 and again the wives and mothers proved themselves loyal fans by their work back of the scene of the feasting The cllmax of the feasting came on April 20 when the boys were the guests of the Lions Club at the1r regular luncheon Coach W1ll1am Mc Andrew of S I N U was the speaker of the occasion It is fortunate that the boys will have several months in whlch to recuper ate for we fear that so much feasting would not improve the scoring machine Junior Semor Banquet 1926 The Twelfth Annual Junior Senior Banquet was held in the High School gymnasium on the night of May 6 1926 The gymnasium was divided into a d1n1ng room and receptlon room by lattice work The dmlng room was decorated in the Senior Class Colors green and white and the reception room 1n the Junlor Colors black and whlte Beautiful floor lamps chairs rugs and shaded lights added much to the appearance of the room A number of the members of the High School orchestra furnished muslc for the occasion The grand march began at eight o clock and all found thelr places at the table A four course dinner consisting of Cherry cocktail chicken Creole creamed potatoes peas cream slaw celery and olives Parker house rolls orange ice cake coffee and mints was served Between courses the following program was given directed by Toast Master Paul Dor1ss Welcome Leonard Scott Response Milton Wagner Reading Loulse Ogden Talk Mr John Spires V1ol1n Solo Justin Coleman Talk Mr Richart Senior Prophecy Margaret Rae For the remainder of the evening we were entertained by the orchestra The Seniors assured the Juniors that they had spent a wonderful evenlng IX5 Talk ..... ....
