1927 BLACK DIAMOND 1927 Semor Class H1story In the fall of the well remembered year 1923 forty four lllustrrous Grammar school graduates entered dear old C C H S upon thelr educa tronal career Th1S career was to have been one of sunny days but before 1tS close they found many dark and dreary days that tended to make lt some what wearlsome But bemg mfluenced by the 1nsp1r1ng atmosphere that exlsted w1th1n the walls of the school they solemnly determlned to attaln the goal Graduatron Thelr Freshman year was one of hardshlps and blnuders but by con stant assoclatron Wlth members of the Faculty they were taught the fun damentals of applylng themselves to the1r studles A meetlng was called and by vote of the class Lawrence Dameron was made Presldent They advocated co operatlon from the start and It has manlfested rtself through out as one of the hlgh ldeals of the group Thelr Sophomore year was a more successful year than the prevlous one due to the fact that they had gathered some honest knowledge of Ethlcs and Educatlon Thls year proved to be successful ln all llnes ecpec 1ally ln Athletlcs Not bemg satlsfied w1th just any sort of organlzatlon a meetlng was called the class selectxng Edward Rutherford to hold together the mass that had so much enthusiasm they could hardly be controlled but co operatlon reasserted ltself and molded a stronger class than before In the autumn of 1925 the noted Junlor class cllmbed the steps to the bulldlng to set a pace that no class could surpass Th1S bemg thelr ambltlon they clearly proved to all that the year spent as Junlors was one of renown Thelr tlme at the Junlor Semor Banquet was one that w11l never be for gotten as It was enjoyed by every one In the glorlous year of 1926 the same Junlors now Senlors moved to the assembly to resume the seats that had been vacated by a class that was thought of as artlsts ln all llnes Of course competltlon and progress are the two maln forces that brmg about ldeas of Superlorlty So endeavor mg to make the Senlor year the most profitable ln the hlstory of their edu catlon they are departmg from deal old C C H S wlth a spark of ambltlon that touches the recesses of thelr souls whlspermg Never falter but always succeed Ill . . ... u e H ,, . . 1 1 ' . . . 1, ' - 1 ' 1 1 sl ' sv 1 v ' V - 1 . 1 ' 1 v 1 , . 1 1 1 . 1 ' . .
