T5'.Dlaclt Diamond C H S iliiumr ln the school curriculum MUSIC certamly has a place A school wlthout some Music IS closely related to a basketball game wlthout pep We hope the appearance and work of the dlfferent orgamzatlons have been successful ln showlng the place and development that lVlus1c holds ln our school A brlef summary of each of the organlzatlons follows Gbrrhestra The l925 26 Orchestra of C C H S shows a gam ln both quallty and quantity ln comparison Wlth those of prevlous years ln I9 I 9 five or six nembers began practlclng under the dlrectlon of MISS Cllfford ln the furnace bulldlng of the old hlgh school at nlght Due to enjoyment and trammg derlved from the orchestra at varlous tlmes and places lt was dCCldCd that Orchestra practlce should be glven a regular school perlod The assembly ns always ready to greet the Orchestra The Plays gxven by the school and varlous other functlons are lmmensely helped by the orchestra Thanks are due to the Freshman class for brmglng several muslclans who eagerly Jomed mcrease yearly Qirrlza Qllef Glluh The Glrls Clef Club IS one of the oldest organlzatlons of our school fhls year the organlzatlon has twenty four members These members have spent many enjoyable hours together followlng MISS Cllfford s mstructlons lt often seemed lmpossxble to master the rlght tlme and tones but after several attempts xmprovements and success were domlnatmg The Clef Club won first prize at the County Farr Mugs Cllhnrus The Boy s Chorus IS one of the younger organlzatlons of the C C H S last year bemg the first year When we learn that there are twenty exght members we do not wonder why we often hear nolse mstead of muslc Wlth out a doubt MISS Cllfford will verlfy thls last statement Nevertheless frorn thelr practlce the boys have recelved a very excellent trammg ln voxce Uhr Barth Our band was organlzed thls year We feel as lf we are mdebtecl to the peppy muslc of the band for at least part of our pep and vlctorles ln Basketball and Football It IS composed of ten members From the results of the flrst year of our band we see gre t prospects for lt 53 C ' Y , . the Orchestra.
