Homecoming started Wednesday night, October 24 with the Junior Class play, 'Goodbye My Fancy . On Thursday night, the annual bon-fire and pep meeting brought out a great deal of enthusiasm On Friday afternoon the Homecoming Parade began at the high school headed by our band. Prizes were awarded to the three best floats. The Eldred Grade school placed first, the Sophomore class second, and the Dramatics club third. Store windows were attractively decorated for the occasion. At 8 o'c1ock came the opening kickoff of the game before a large crowd. Carrollton won an exciting victory of 26 to 0 over White Hall. The Homecoming dance supplied a gay and festive finale to Homecoming week. The gym was gaily decorated in the traditional colors of green and white. Ronnie Klaus's Band supplied the music. The highlight of the evening, crowning the queen, found Jeanie Dotson, a senior, the queen. She was escorted by George Stuart. Her attendants in order of their rank were: Janet Koster escorted by Adrian Varbleg Karen Jones escorted by Kent Blackg Kay Koster escorted by Jim Tapeng Pay Young escorted by Tom Stone. The retiring queen, Bonnie Turpen was escorted by Tom Biddle. Kathy Parker and Mike Gillingham made very attractive flower girl and page.
