aaa .jvdfsfory -f':'f -fn Sara Jane Tapp Marylyn Shaw Jo Ann Borlm J1m M1dk1ff Mary Lou Sexton Mary Ellen Jouett and Lynda Shackelford were among the flrst graders at Carroll ton Pubhc School 1n 1942 These seven students have contlnued thelr twelve school years he re wlthout any 1nterrupt1ons In the month of September a group of exc1ted freshmen entered Carrollton Com mumty I-hgh School The first and most lmportant event of the year was the Fresh man ln1t1at1on a party held ln our honor After thls party we felt we were a part of h1gh school The rema1nder of the year was spent ln adjustlng ourselves to thls new school l1fe Our sophomore year was a very qulet one Aslde from a few partles noth1ng much of 1mportance happened Now we have come to an 1mportant and busy year W1th ordermg of class r1ngs the prom part1es and study1ng there was not much t1me to spare Plans for the prom were soon underway lt was held May 2, the theme belng Stardust We all worked exceptlonally hard to make thls prom a success, and we were qulte proud of our beautlfully decorated gym Our class rmngs were ordered th1s year and for the f1rst tlme a standard crest was declded upon Another lmportant event was our .Tumor Play, Mother Was a Freshman, A very large crowd attended the play and enjoyed It lmmensely The curtalns are now beglnnlng to close on our hxgh school career On December 26, the senmors sponsored the Snow Flake Fest1val dance to celebrate the hol1 days A pr1nce and pr1ncess were selected and a good t1me was enjoyed by everyone who attended The sen1or class play Father of the Br1de was presented xn the spr1ng and was a huge success Plans for our senlor tr1p are now completed and we plan to take It May 22, 23, 24 The last event before graduatlon w1ll be the Semor Tea Our hmgh school days w1ll come to a close on June 1 wh1ch 1S graduatmon Our futures may all be d1fferent but whatexer they are, we w1ll always remember our good old days ln C. JODY BORLIN, Jody is now the wife of Freddy Baumgartner and has a part time job doing mechanic work. DARLENE BRANNAN, Darlene is happily married and rapidly making a name for herself in the boxing world. MARY DAUM, Mary has been on a one woman crusade against men, at present she has had 14 husbands, all of which have died mysteriously. RUSSEL DOYLE, Russel has quit the grocery business and has taken a position in the state senate. JIM MIDKIFF, Jim is today known as Lighting Jim , the fastest man on three wheels. Jim is Uicycle test man for Sears and Roebuck, JIM HUBBARD. Jim, unfortunately after leaving college fell into the hands of 'bad company' and is now promoting es- cape trips from Sing Sing. ROBERT HOFF, Bob has been at Jacksonville since 1954, the Senior Class Trip was too much for him, CAROL HARDWICK, Carol is today employed at the Ralphie Electric Shop. She hasn't caught Ralphie yet! KAY GRAUEL, Kay was a test pilot for McDonnell Aircraft, her latest flight ending in disaster when she attempted to fly a jet in reverse, V ' '- HAROLD BETHARD, Harold is getting paid to sing 'Study Hall Hillbilly over radio station KST L. JERRY HAMEL, Jerry is chief chef at the Waldolf Hotel, and is known for his Pearidge Pickles. RAYMOND FRALEY, Ray is connected with the FBI, lle 'son their 10 most wanted criminals list, KEITH GRAHAM, Keith is the local Westem Auto man and is happily married to Janelle, -RODNEY ROSS, Rodney is farming with his father, and writes compositions for English students as a sideline. ' TOM JILG, Tom is married to Wanda and is the local Patriot editor. SARA JANE TAPP, Sara is a race horse jockey and is touring the world with Lady of War . PALMA WOOD, Palma is a policewoman in New York, she teaches judo as a hobby, GENE SKAGGS, Gene dyed his hair black and is playing his f'uke for Authur Godfrey. MARYLYN SHAW, Marylyn is the President's secretary and at present is working with him at Key West. JACK ROBERTS, Jack is manied and presently is a landscape artist for a Christmas Card Co. MARLIN TUEY, Marlin is employed by the county to inspect the food at the various school cafeterias. MARY ELLEN JOUETT, Mary is still letting Turp chase her and she almost has him caught, JOHN SPECKHARD, John is a professional gambler and presently located at Las Vegas, MARY LOU SEXTON, Mary Lou has monopolized the pretzel industries by adding a new twist in handling the dough. LORETTA REESE, Lucy is a lady-dare-devil. Her main act is riding a motorcycle with Carl, ' WANDA WOODSON, Wanda went all through medical school and recently opened an office in Carrollton. LUCILLE HARDWICK, Lucille has her college degree in Home Economics and is baking cakes for Betty Crocker. ROBERT BROOKS, Bob is in'Chicago testing the durability of gum for the Double Gubblegum Company. DICK BRANNAN, Dick holdsthe world 's table tennis championship and is now on a world tour with his wife. GLEN KING, Glen is head tailor at Ruth 's Dress Shop, . GEORGE FARROW, George is doing research work at the U of I, trying to exterminate Red hair. MARTHA SMITH, Martha has been divorced ten times. At present, she is a Marriage Councilor in New York. V FRANK CUSTER, Frank has become a second Frank Sinatra and just recently won an Oscar for his roll in From Eternity to Here. GERALD BECKER, Jerry is a lingerie salesman at Stix in St, Louis. GAROLD BECKER, Gary for the past five years has been mascot for the Chicago Bears, pro football club. LYNDA SHACKELFORD, Lynda, under the instruction of Henry, has learned to milk cows and is gaining world-wide fame as chief milker in Prairie Farms' Creamery. WALTER SCROGGINS, Turp can be seen on Super Circus, he wears the gorilla suit. GARY TRIBBLE, Gary is the leader and vocalist of his own 8 piece band. JIM PRYOR, Jim is a State Patrolman. P. S.
