Seniors Prqbamfbr Graduation Measuring for caps and gowns, order- ing pictures and announcements, and fill- ing out the diploma list are all a part of graduation as fifty seniors prepare to leave Carrington High School in May. Graduation at last--what an accomplish- ment--after working, playing, agreeing, disagreeing, and planning together. It has been a time filled with memories dear to a graduate's heart. Have Know How, Will Show How, the senior class motto, could well have been applied to any year of their high school, for certainly their accomplishments have shown a know and show how. Interest in many worthwhile activities was manifested by this class early in their freshman year. Traveling along their high school highway, these seniors in the past have acquired many awards in speech, journalism, music, FHA, dramatics, DAR, and in letters and trophies in sports. As juniors the group planned and staged a very beautiful prom, Stairway To The Stars . Gliding about on the dance floor to the strains of the latest hit tunes, everyone, it seemed, could touch the bright stars of his dreamworld . The class found that their hard work resulted in an enjoyable evening for all. Evidently the class still had the prom on their minds this year, for they chose mid- night blue and silver, the prom color scheme as their class colors. The bluebell became the class flower. Attaininga great measure of success in producing their junior play, the class the fol- lowing year really showed know how when they presented their senior class play, Teen Time, in an outstanding performance. Ably leading his class as president for the second successive year, Don Nicolson had good cooperation from jerry Liddle, vice- president: Don Kanwischer, secretary- treasurerg and from the other class mem- bers . Mr. Sletten and Mr . jones wisely coun- seled the seniors in their many activities. Responsibility was placed squarely on their shoulders when the group became seniors . Among other things, the class of '59 chose the declamation winners of the grade and high school contests held through- out the school year. I0 1 P
