Baby Cards Show Promise Goodboy' sms' Hats off to the Carrington Cardinalsl I Having shown promise and determination throughout the season, these prominent players were the first to win a berth at the state tournament since the establishment of a basketball team in Carrington. Losing only three regular games by one, two, and three point margins, the squad created a season of en- tertainment much enjoyed by the students and the com- munity. Under the very capable guidance of Coach James Keranen, who also led the Carrington Cardinals ,f y to the regional tournament in 1956, the team topped f Wu, off the district tournament in a very exciting game by , 1 N winning in a double overtime. At the regional tourney, the Cardinals won two out of three games, the second being an overtime game also. Because only three of the members of the A squad are seniors, the remainder look forward to capturing honors again next year. All set, Don. All boys who earn a letter in one sport are eligi- ble members of the C Club. Each year new letters are awarded with emblems for the various sports. The C Club elects officers annually at one of its last meetings. ln the spring a banquet is held at which honors are awarded. All the members of C Club, as well as new letter winners, attend the banquet. The Jun- ior Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club sponsor the banquet each year. Money is earned by the club from selling conces- sions at basketball games .
