A Rough Ana' Ready Team Always Doing Their Best CO-CAPTAINS Fred Engbert, Dick Swartout Red Martin Cardinals started out the year with thirty-two grid- ders, perhaps the largest turnout since the Cards began pigskin pursuing. The first game was at New Rockford, where they met St. James in an easy win. The tables turned, however, when Carrington was held scoreless Reporting for Duty by the husky Minot Model gridders on the home field . The Cards had reason to rejoice at the season's end, for 5 they had a 4-3 record. Coach Red Martin is new to Carrington High School this year, but he has done a tremendous job in guiding the more experienced players to victory and initiating the inexperienced recruits to a rough and ready game.
