As they led their classmates through a successful year, the sophomore officers carried out their tasks with friendly smiles and cheery Hi's . Acting as class president for his second successive year was Mike Carmody. Assisting him as vice-president was Robert Kriewaldg and Jeanne Hagel, secretary-treasurer. Miss Fylken and Miss Zahradnik were class advisors. Sophomores soon began to play a big part in student projects, their first one being a class homecoming float, for which they won second prize. Taking respon- sibility in other activities was also char- acteristic of the sophomores. Athletic ability was soon discovered and immediately channeled in the right direction as prospects for future Card- inal athletes increased.
