Charles, Usechek, Mullaney - Rep. study Hall After graduating from Glassport High School, Mr. Marcenelle went to Indiana State Teachers College and to the University of Pittsburgh. He has been with the Carnegie faculty for two years. Mr. Marcenelle teaches social studies and became the sponsor of Stu- dent Council last year. Student Council is a government organization which is com,posed of two representatives from each homeroom. The officers of Student Council are elected each year by the student body. Mr. Marcenelle is also an assistant foot- ball coach and is very proud of the fact that it took our cheerleaders only two years to learn to spell his name. S His sophomore homeroom is located in the study hall. His Student Council repre- sentatives are John Mullaney and Jackie Mendola. Mr. Marcenelle

Art Room Mrs. Pavlov Mrs. Pavlov graduated from McKeesport High School. She then attended Edinboro State Teachers College and Carnegie Institute of Technology. She has received her B.S. de- gree in art education. Mrs. Pavlov is the head of our art depart- ment Which is in charge off posters and stage decorations for our school activities. She aids in the designing of sets for the class plays. She has also given many helpful suggestions for class prom decorations. Mrs. Pavlov has been at Carnegie High for four years. She sponsors the Future Teachers of America. One can identify Mrs. Pavlov by her short hair and her pleasant smile. She has a sophomore homeroom in the' art room. Homeroom 208 Mr. Palonis After graduating from South High School, Mr. Palonis attended the University of Pitts- burgh where he received a B.A. degree. He was the recipient of the Frick Scholarship which enabled him to attend the University of Mexico. Mr. Palonis has been a-t Carnegie High for six years. He teaches French and Spanish and is the sponsor of the French-Spanish Club. The purpose of this club is to better the understanding of the French and Spanish people and their way of living. The members of the club consist of students taking the French and Spanish languages. Mr. Palonis can be easily distinguished by his curly hair and his height. He has the sophomore homeroom 208. His Student Coun- cil representatives are Diane Bevard and Kent Medwig.
