IXOY 2 The Lord is coming; the Lord is here now is the translation for Maranatha. The Maranatha Club was formed to stimulate a desire to reach people on campus and tell them about Christ. The club sponsored a surfing film for the student body, the film A Thief in the Night for the whole community, and a concert fea- turing the singing group Re-Generation. The student-authored play by Pam Kimsey received a favorable reaction from the audi- ence and the critics. An Oldsmobile powered 1957 Che- vey and a Corvair powered Baja Bug were the major projects of the Auto Club. The purpose of Auto Club is to develop the automotive skills and to introduce various types of trades within the automotive framework. The Auto Club also puts on a car bash each year. At the left is advisor, Fred Hernandez with officer Bob Martin, Ray Whitehead and Jim Brown. Working on the engine is Mark Duff.
